Something smells fishy about all this, but you wouldn't know..your nose is stuffed with 2 1/2 miles of gauze. Hope the gain is worth the pain and your bride is able to get a good night's sleep. Have a quick and uneventful recover.
Since you don't have to talk and can't smell the roses, keep the drugs moving so you are as comfortable as possible. I will try not to crash EHSTrack while you are gone.
Hi all. Thanks for the well wishes. Was really out of it yesterday but doing a lot better so far today. Been basically parked in front of the tv catching up on the backlog of geeky shows on our TiVo that Jess doesn't like to watch!
The rest of Saturday wasn't very good and Sunday morning was pretty bad. I felt like I had spikes up my nose! Ouch. Upped the painkillers and vegged out in front of the TiVo. Slept the better part of Monday. What the heck happened to the stock market? Is it time to buy? I'm not retiring anytime soon so I've got time...
Tuesday was a little better. The pain seems to be gone, but my head is totally stuffed up. This shouldn't be that big a deal since I'm not supposed to breathe through my nose anyway(!). Looking forward to the post op appt where they'll remove the gauze and the splint in my nose!
Jess and Sabrina have been taking good care of me. Jess is getting a taste of being a stay at home mom and making me rest. Sabrina is wondering why I don't clean up my boogers. The gauze in my nose is starting to come out... Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
Last night my nose was totally plugged up to the point that when I swallowed my ears would always pop... And Im still not allowed to blow my nose. Things finally drained out my nose in the middle of the night. Woke up around 4 am and couldn't fall back asleep. My mom and sister arrived from NYC last night. Had homemade wonton soup and other Chinese food for lunch. Yum!
